Speaker: Dr. Domenico Quaranta

Starting in the Fifties of the last century, the computers became part of the tools used by artists in the production of their artworks. Then with the arrival of design softwares, the access to new media has become very easy and their use extremely popular and diffused: the last frontier is the design of three-dimensional artworks, which come out of the 3D printer.

From year to year, digital art / new media art has completely permeated the artistic world, earning a space of all relief in the contemporary culture, spreading especially through the web: today the recognition achieved in the years from varied panorama of artworks puts with force the problem of management and conservation.

The workshop is open to conservators, artists, curators and gallery owners, art historians, students in artistic disciplines, journalists and cultural operators.
